Maslow's hierarchy of needs

I think that Abrah Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is pretty true for everyone. It is true for me. I'm sure that there are some people that completely disagree and have different needs, but I believe that he is right. People do work to fulfill their most basic needs first. I also agree with him that once someone has fulfilled all of their needs they will be happy. I have already taken care of a lot of the needs that he has listed. I have pretty much covered physiological, safety, love/belonging, and most of esteem. I sometimes have problems with things in the esteem category such as confidence. I have partially fulfilled self-actualization. I would like to be more creative and spontaneous but for the most I have covered everything else. It seems to me that Maslow was good at what he did. From looking at his hierarchy of needs I think that he was probably a good psychologist.

anything

Well today is Monday. I'm not in the mood to be at school. I wish that I were home in bed. I don't want to blog. The roads are icy but not bad enough to call a snow day. I'm glad that they didn't call a snow day because I like to get those Mondays in May off. I'm very excited that the boys won! State Champs! I don't have anything else to write about so that's all for today!

Revenge

I believe that revenge can be either a positive or negative thing. It all depends on the situation. If you are seeking revenge on someone with intentions to kill them then I believe that revenge is wrong. Therefore, I think that Hamlet's revenge is wrong. He should have gotten revenge in a different way. On the other hand, when seeking revenge in a football game or something like that I think that it is ok. That's all for now. =] -SF

politics

So today we are supposed to blog about the election and politics, but to be quite honest I don't follow politics. Obama obviously won which is fine with me because I didn't care. I just think that it is neat to have a black president for the first time. I thought that Obama would win just because Mrs. Walls showed us the maps. They showed all of the states that he would most likely win. As long as the president is makes good decisions, is well educated, and fair then I don't care who it is. My opinions will probably change once I get older but for now that's all I got.

conflict.

For today's blog I have to write about a conflict that I have had. The conflict that I'm going to blog about just happened recently. It was between a substitute teacher, myself, and a few other students. The conflict began because most of the students in the class were lying on the floor. Mrs. R, also known as Ms. Ruby by Mr. L, apparently asked us three times to watch the movie. She actually never asked us, but since she thinks that she did we got in trouble. She thought that we were being rude and disrespectful to her. My permanent record is clear of detentions so I definitely did not want to get one my senior year because of some sub. That is why we had a meeting with Ms. Madson and Mr. Lintvedt. The conflict was resolved one day after school when we sat for about 45 minutes to discuss what happened. In this meeting we all gave our side of the story, and we made sure that everything got cleared up. We no longer had detentions, but we had to write apology letters to her. I guess that I was satisfied with the outcome. I mean, of course I would have rather not gotten in trouble at all but an apology was better than a detention. I doubt that she is satisfied with us not getting detentions but I don't care. After all of this I learned to pay a lot of attention if I ever have a sub like her again. That's all for now! =]

Welcome

Hello everyone! I've never blogged before so this is a new experience for me. The only reason that I am really doing it is because Mr. Lintvedt is making me. I'm not quite sure what to say in this. I'm not really a fan of blogging. This is simply because I sometimes feel uncomfortable when people read what I write, but that can always change. Well, that's all I have for now. =]
